Overwhelming Stories

Throughout this poem collection, I chart a painful descent from the chaotic, dizzying heights of infatuation into the quiet, hollow reality of self-deprecating loneliness and grapple with the agonizing friction between an overwhelming desire for deep connection and a protective instinct to retreat. Ultimately, the poems serve as a raw confession of vulnerability, capturing the exhaustive toll of putting others first, feeling misunderstood or valued only for utility, and patiently waiting on the margins of life for a breakthrough that feels devastatingly out of reach.

A young girl by the name of Layla Fernandez was a student at Riverside High School. She was labeled "perfect," by everyone around her and students and teachers held high expectations. She falls under pressure and academic burnout over time.

This story is based on the video game Overwhelm, which is currently my favorite horror platformer. The story takes place after the end of the game through the eyes of Even's friend, who is an analyst for knights after they go on perilous quests.

Rose, an innocent shy senior enters the world of high school for the first time in her life only to realise with the help of some mysterious guy in the back of her calculus class that she may not be that innocent after all and that her whole life and family was under a filter of lies and dilutions.

She must take deep breaths to calm herself. Will she succeed? Or will she be swept off her feet by another attack?

Anecdote of my mind

Everyone thinks of the Cons and the "What Ifs" of a relationship (of any type). Here I've written some of the thoughts that I have reflected in my mental and have caused me to overthink at times...

Possible triggers. I will be going deep to try to describe emotions... some I will not really have names for because I may not know what kind of emotion I'm hoping with this, that people that may experience these things.. it will help them and they'll realize they aren't alone. Also that those who have friends and family members who may experience these things, hopefully this will help them understand what those loved ones are going through and help them react to it. Life is already a juggling act for 35 year old Samantha. Work life balance? Doesn't exist. Between her corporate job, being a wife, and a mum of 2, chaos is her default setting. So when an otherworldly magical phenomenon starts hounding her like a stalker. She find this to be down right rude. How is she expected to save the world -again- when she can't even get her children to eat breakfast?
