This fic is based off this amazing comic! Check it out I'll link it in the fic :) The lore isn't exactly the same as I changed some things around like Genji isn't in blackwatch and never was. a highly imaginative story inspired by the movies "girl interrupted", "starstruck", seven deadly sins references, and the overwatch lore story. during the end of the 2050's, a female foreign exchange student from the philippines transfers to hanamura high school and is engulfed in a never ending battle with her mind and what is real. befriending the young shimada genji, at first, ignites euphoria, but as the stimulation falters, it eventually leads to a life full of distraught and chaos.

It had been thirteen years since the disappearance of Jesse McCree, and everyone back home presumed him to be dead by now. Even though Ashe tended to hate him at this point, there was still some love in her heart to be found when it came to reminiscing their old memories. Jesse had been secretly residing in a new small town in Texas for the past three years, unable to face anyone, especially Ashe. However, with one night at the saloon, their worlds get flipped upside down. And yes, every chapter is named after a country song. A lyric from each will be underlined throughout it. :)
