"Do you know why I love doves?" she asked as they sat together on the rooftop, gazing up at the night sky. "Why?" he asked back, turning to look at her. "Because they represent peace..." she said softly. Then, a bitter smile touched her lips. "Isn't it ironic? My favorite bird stands for peace... yet my entire life has been anything but peaceful. It has been filled with nothing but chaos..." . . . What happens when a boy meets a girl who is quiet and kind, yet holds something within her that constantly draws him in-a mysterious quality that he finds impossible to fully understand? What is it exactly that pulls him toward her? Is it her gentle kindness? The secrets she keeps hidden? Or perhaps... something much deeper?
