Fresh off the boat from Solstheim, Skylar is wide-eyed and in Skyrim looking for adventure, fortune and answers. What Skylar didn't expect to find was her astonishing and terrifying destiny: she is the foretold Dovahkiin that must bring about the end of Alduin and save the world. Armed with her fiery temper and inability to give up, Skylar follows up on her destiny to become on of the greatest warriors this world has ever seen...while making a few enemies along the way. *** This is the prequel to my very first Skyrim story, The Dragonborn Comes. This is Skylar's story while she was discovering herself as the Dragonborn! DISCLOSURE: some of the dialogue and almost all of the characters belong to and are the property of Bethesda. This is just for funsies.

This is the story about a young orphaned girl who becomes adopted by the dragon Paarthurnax and her journey of self-discovery and adventure while living under the wing of an ancient Dovah. This work is a work of fiction by a loving fan. I do not own the character Paathurnax or any part of Skyrim and/or The Elder Scrolls series that may be mentioned therein save for the initial concept of this story and some of the original characters therein. Sizaan Kulaas was a curious and adventurous young girl bound to an oath to remain within the confines of her home, High Hrothgar, and care for Paarthurnax as his Vahlok (guardian). One day Paarthurnax isn't the only one she finds at the Throat of the World. Alduin is instantly captivated by her but she was less than impressed with him. After a few more misencounters with the inexplicably human World Eater, Sizaan finds herself banished from her home until Alduin can find a purpose for his new life. They were just beginning to find their way when their journey is inturrupted by two hooded figures with a mysterious ultimatum and a dragonslayer with a bone to pick.

"Do you honestly want me to lecture you because it won't be pretty." Miraak just stared at me stepping slightly closer and whispered "Try me, I dare you." All I wanted to do was wipe that smirk right off his face. "Fine then, you are one of the smartest and yet stupidest people I have ever met..." When Alye thinks her long battle with Miraak is almost over she discovers that things might not be quite as they seem. As they escape the realm of Apocrypha they find their powers lost and must journey together to get them back. Many years had passed since the Dovahkiin known as Myrth walked amongst the citizens of Keizaal (Skyrim). She has defeated the vampires, became the leader of the companions, became a valuable member of the thieves guild, slayed the Emperor, stopped Miraak, and most importantly...slain Alduin. She had an eventful life that was unfortunately coming to an abrupt end. She was dying. Without any major problems that threatened the world to be solved, her sil (soul) was ready to abandon its mortal form. She was dying from a Dovahkiin only illness known as Sil Bovul. Soul Fleeing in mortal tongue. There was no cure for this illness. No Healer or Daedric Lord could save her. However, she wasn't ready to die. Seeking guidance or a way for her life to be preserved, she sought out guidance from Paarthurnax. Her dearest friend. Will Paarthurnax be able to help her? Or is the Dovahkiin doomed to fall to Sil Bovul? Read to find out.
