This is a rewritten and expanded story based on the earlier one-shot of the same name, which has now been renamed Tide & Surf, to reduce confusion. It now includes drarry, and follows Harry's journey from the end of his relationship with Ginny to the beginning of his relationship with Draco. :-) Summary: After a lifetime of war, Harry searches for something he can't quite define. His journey takes him all the way to Northern California, to the rocky shore of the Pacific Coast, where he finds what he was searching for - if not what he expected. A story of endings and beginnings, of loss and letting go and moving on. Of the pull of gentle hope and despair, and a quiet, bone-deep strength. Of peace. Notes: An odd little story; a love letter to the place I live, and a testament to how the power of the ocean and the trees can heal the heart and soul. Told through Harry's eyes, beginning with the end of Hinny and ending with the beginning of drarry, because I love drarry nearly as much as I love where I live.

This is a two-chapter preview of this novella. It is far in the future, the time of humans has past and nature has begun to reclaim the earth. Buildings have started to sink back into the soil, and trees reach their roots far beyond the bounds of their sidewalk boxes. Nature has long been divided into isolated islands between cities of metal and rock, but now it is becoming one again.  The story takes place in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, which remained relatively untouched to the end of human rein. The animals here are aware of the human lands, but do not venture into them. Willow is an adventurous, orphaned, Red Fox with an insatiable fascination with the world around her. She spends her days exploring the hills and glens surrounding her old willow tree home. She brings back with her artifacts of her travels: stones, feathers, leaves, flowers. Her best friend is Poppy the house mouse, who is exactly that, a homebody. Poppy follows Willow on her adventures, but does so with trepidation. As winter nears, Poppy spends her time doing "chores" for her mother, which consists mostly of collecting seeds and packing them away. Therefore, Willow spends most of Fall exploring on her own. It is during these times that the fox begins to hear her name, softly floating on the wind. At first she thinks she is imagining it; she imagines that she is speaking with her mother quite often. However, as the days grow shorter, and the wind grows colder and stronger, her name becomes louder. On the stormiest days it is as if her name is howling through the branches of her tree home. When Willow begins to tell Poppy that she hears the wind speaking, Poppy dissuades her from pursuing her curiosity.

Lacuna, a small town somewhere near the border of Oregon and California. Nestled in a valley of mountains too insignificant for a proper name. Maybe you've unwittingly stopped there for gas on a long car trip or maybe you've made a horribly wrong turn and found yourself turning on all the lights in your car and constantly checking your rear view mirror. Everyone knows however that something isn't quite right. Normally in the pacific northwest, UFO sightings, Bigfoot encounters, and local legends are commonplace and lead to nothing more than interesting interactions with crazed locals. Lacuna, however, is different. Missing persons, cults, shadowy corporations, ritualistic killings, bizarre monuments, and strange buildings litter the town and seem impossible to ignore.

"See you next summer." ~ An AU where Dipper and Mabel return to Gravity Falls 3 years after the events of Weirdmageddon (canonically set in 2016; the twins are now 16, almost 17). ~ The twins think it's going to be a typical summer - with Bill gone, Mabel still on the hunt for her summer romance, and everyone enjoying their lives in the still-sleepy town of Gravity Falls, Oregon. But something is wrong with Dipper, and his hypothesis that maybe this all isn't all over comes to fruition when he sees something outside his window. Something he didn't think he'd see again in a million years. And barely acknowledging her brother's struggle, Mabel is still searching for her summer romance, and she finds it with someone almost unexpected. But the twins' world begins to crumble when lives are at stake, secrets are revealed, and not everyone is who they claim to be. And the worst part of it all is that Dipper doesn't know if he wants to help this time, and Mabel is unsure if she can do it on her own. ~ Note: The title of this fanfiction may change. !!! ARTWORK IS NOT MINE !!! ~ I KNOW!! This is different than what I usually post; I use this as my agere account but I thought; "Why not post something I'm working on?"
