It has been five years since the fall of the Jedi order and the rise of the Galactic Empire. Micah Vizsla has always believed that the jedi were good people-- just that they didn't quite understand what they were doing. a lighter addition to Soren's impulsive nature. but he has always believed in self-sacrifice, and noble acts. but when they are sent to Inad Komesh, he sees a world swallowed by crime and people without homes, he starts to wonder why the jedi have not even TRIED to help this world before their enemies had risen on it. and his faith in the jedi begins to slowly fade into disillusionment.

The Battle of Umbara is over. Jedi General Pong Krell has been executed for treason, authorized by CT-7567, or Captain "Rex", of the 501st Legion. Everyone seems to be glad this trial is over, except for Padawan Learner Sei Belwyn. She is reassigned to Jedi Knight Mora Kyja a week after the death of her Master, Krell.
