As Christendom sweeps through the Norselands, Holgår leads his people in a bloody campaign to stem the tide of blasphemy towards the Old Way's while the Christians begin their new assault upon the Man-God King, Holgår sees only blood and darkness and death to everyone even his own people's lives are not to be spared in his unbridled cleansing of fury.

The Romans were spreading their empire across the planet, every land they tried to take the humans lost. Humans were sick of being treated barbarically, from crucifixions to other forms of vicious murders, the people had enough. The people outside the empire called upon their gods, to which their prayers were answered. The gods sent them powerful beings, beings the Romans had never encountered before. The Roman Emperor Concilius The second tried to send his best men, but the men were thwarted at every turn.

The old Gods of the Norse pantheon are stirring. After centuries of exile in the realm of Asgard, they have emerged to challenge the power of the Christian God, gathering strength to do battle once more. As battle lines are drawn on Midgard, Odin calls the Heathen's blood, calling the descendants of pagans back to the old ways. On Midgard (Earth), the Heathen's Blood runs strong in one youth, a boy, almost a man and the last of his family. As he is trained in the Norse way of war, he must realise there are more dangers emerging as the Christians make a call of their own, reforming the Shadowy Inquisition and the Bloody Knight's Templar. As pagans and Heathens are hunted once more, can the boy survive to become a man amidst whispers of the end of days?

So the end result is Book one of 'Secrets of the Druids'. It's a complete story in itself. Hate books that have no ending. I knew I'd be reading this to her in bed so it's a page turner (I hope:-). Once again, his heart and soul suddenly became in a daze; he can't control his body. He tried to escape several times, but the illusion seemed to be endless and every time he has found the exit, the place suddenly shifted in just a snap as if someone is manipulating it. The ferocious shadows also whirled and skittered around him, tormenting as much as they want. After a few hours, they'll disappear one by one and because of that, he has relinquished the odds of freeing himself from this misery. It took human race a few hundred years to recover to some extent from The Great Cataclysm. But instead of learning their lesson from it and starting to live a life full of peace, love and harmony with the Nature, we messed it up again, and divided the human race into two opposite, extreme races. When the extremely violent, fanatical, ortodoxly chauvinistic Abrahams decide to declare war on peaceful, nature-loving, spiritual and technology-rejecting Pagans, Nemesis wishes she had never been given the powers which have mad her famous, respected and loved among her fellow Pagans. Because what's the point of being the most powerful being in both Universes, when it has to stand in the way of your love?

Boris, hiding from law enforcement with a suitcase of other people's money, hides in the mountains of northern Romania. There, he meets former bouncer Viorel, and together they find themselves in a small syncretic community where they believe that periodic underground vibrations are the "songs of dragons" sleeping beneath the mountains. The characters gradually become immersed in the community's life: Boris records everything as a scientist, Viorel becomes a "protector" and student of the strange teacher Georgiy, who teaches them not to fight, but to "listen to the earth" (the philosophy of yamabushi). Two romantic relationships develop in parallel: Boris as the practical Daria, and Viorel as the dreamy Sofia. When the community is threatened by a gang of local rich kids, the characters defend it not with force, but with wisdom and psychological techniques. Ultimately, the vibrations become a symbol of the unity of science and faith, the rational and the mystical. Science and magic, Christianity and paganism, reason and heart speak of the same thing. The main thing is to be able to **listen** to the earth, to people, and to yourself.
