Claire is one of a race called the Vicari. A race of humans born with abilities beyond the wildest dreams of many. Some can manipulate Fire. Ice. Earth. Air. Weather. Others are telepathic or telekinetic or can teleport or turn invisible or manipulate shadows. Claire is dangerous, however, more so than most. She can control cells, and hence, life forms and their anatomy. It is a power she loathes, but cannot get rid of. And they do come in handy, particularly as the Queen of the land hates the Vicari breed. Ordered them enslaved. Killed. Exterminated. Every last one of them, identifiable by their abnormalities, such as Claire's own startling green eyes, flecked with red, like bloodstained leaves. However, a rebellion stirs in the shadows, lead by the Queen's own sister, continuously attempting to recruit Claire for surety of their victory. However, Claire will none of it. Go find another weapon, she insists. ------------------------------------------------- Queen Elizabeth is the ruler of Orinielle. Only 19, and secretly one of the Vicari herself, though she desperately hides it. Taught by her parents to loathe her kind. As her conquest continues, as the whispers of rebellion raise to shouts, she can only pray she and those closest to her survive this war. ------------------------------------------------- Both girls are so different. The king even offers a reward for the person that finds her, 2000 gold coins. And as Paige wanders the street of a port outside of London, pirates invade. They plunder everything and slaughters everyone. Everyone except for Paige. Instead of killing her, they bring her to their Captian. The famous Jaye America Bloodthorn. Victoria "Paige" Freefeather has been fighting cancer ever since she was 15 years old. Finally after one year the doctors have been able to remove the cancer. Paige then bumps into none other then Jaye Bloodthron, the new patient. Time And Time again Paige and Jaye crosses each other's paths in the hospital, Soon there short meetings turns into long conversations that leads to a new friendship, and maybe even love. ~sorry for bad description~

Paige Freefeather, the loner in the back of the class. The person who sits alone at lunch. The invisible girl no one notices. Yet, the person who knows everything about everyone. She has no emotions, She trusts no one and she hates everything. Sometimes people try to talk to her, but that usually ends up with them in a hospital and Paige at detention. People always wonder what's wrong with the raven haired girl, well let's just say all her hopes and dreams were gone.

My name is Jaye Bloodthorn. I am my father's deepest, best kept secret. My father is the king of Nievengärd. He is regarded as a savior by his people. He has created a utopia. In the process, sentencing people like me to death or slavery in camps. We are identified as the Marked, as the tattoos on our skin identify us for what we are. There are many of us in hiding as I am, covering our Marks, acting as things we were not. Survival. My father helps me cover mine, for if what I was were to get out, the scandal could cause support to gather for the whispers of revolt hiding in the shadows. A revolt I intend to join. War is in our blood after all. It was foolish to think our nature could be stifled for very long.
