Kaitlyn is biased against guys and think that they are dirty-minded freaks. Nickolas thinks women are just simple play things that can be thrown away after use. What will they do when they meet each other?

This story is part of my short story collection. Every month me and my friends take turns to come up with a prompt to a story. Some are very short, some a bit longer and some I might turn into a larger story later if I ever find the time for it. This is my entry of July 2024 This story is about a battle between a group of boys and girls.

Two undefeated armies. Ten days of midnight sun. A sharpshooter with a hot temper. A strategist addicted to success. A general with a grudge. A ten million dollar purse. This paintball war is about to get epic. This book is basically an Iliad AU where it's a paintball war. So, consider this therapy for reading Song of Achilles, you're welcome. Nobody dies, it's all good fun. If you're not here to have fun then find another story. The character names are changed, but most of the major characters show up if you're looking. I realize this is not how paintball tournaments work and I don't care, it's an Iliad AU, not an accurate look at the world of paintball. Trigger/Content warnings: some profanity, teenage level crude humor, some teenage sexuality, teenagers kiss on page that's it, some brief family problems discussed, a character has amnesia and the accident causing it is discussed. A character has a prosthetic limb, this is discusssed. Some violence towards animals in that the characters hunt.

Alice McCormick is a 16 year old girl who is ridiculed and hated in her Arizona town of Break Thriven, where the people are near-murderous after a seriously traumatic event that happened in the streets of that very town. Soon, Alice begins to see things that people say are not there, she has awful nightmares that are all to real, and her heart stops, with no medical explanation why. Her father is an alcoholic, and her mother is morbidly depressed, Alice has no friends, and she is contemplating suicide. This all changes when Alice is put on Landerwon, an alternate, civil war-torn universe. There are no civilians anymore, just the Landerwon Special Forces, and The Resistance. Alice meets people in the latter she respects like brothers and sisters, and Alice prefers this place to home. But the very existence of Landerwon, and herself, are called into question, and the hallucinations become hard to distinguish from reality. Alice must find the truth, with help from Tibbar and Ecila, her team, and some very strange pills. That is, if she isn't killed first. Dedicated to Ryan Kwasnicky, Lewis Carrol, and the number 69. The year is 2024. Laser Tag reigns supreme. No longer an extreme sport, it has become a way of life! Almost everyone now is a Laser Tag player or "slinger". Like duelists of the Old West, duels can happen anywhere at anytime between anyone. Some duel professionally while others duel for fun. And then there are those who duel for less noble motives. In New Luminous City, Wyatt Robinson aka "Wyatt the Kid" is a young slinger; though new to the sport, he nevertheless has the charisma and a refusal to back down from the likes of anyone. However, what started as a fun game for Wyatt quickly turns into a fight that he never expected...

In our world, the most popular sport is paintball. We play it, entertain people with it, and get money from it. We also have fun with it. I am a beginner, and there was a mistake. The team we're going against is way higher level than us, and I want to win. The game is on.

Dillon is Oblivious to anyone other than her friends, she has never heard of Peirce or Nico Or Caleb before. But when the 4 meet, well let's just say it's very Interesting. Dillon Finds out Peirce's secret, And The Two People Close to her heart happen to be one. He calls her 'Blue' She calls him 'Jerk "when i'm older, and my little girl asks me who my first love was, i don't want to pull out a Year Book or a Photo Album! i want to point across the room and say 'she's right there'!!" he shouted, clothes soaked standing on the front porch. Water dripped down from his hair as it clung to his head, the rain washing out the gel. tears formed in my eyes. "don't cry... Please say something" he said. i pulled open the screen door and ran into his arms devouring him in a kiss full of passion and desperation, this argument went on for too long. The winners of this competition win a trip to Hollywood and a hundred thousand dollars for each competitor. The players are split into two teams, and have to play three rounds of paintball. Say “change is good” to fifteen-year-old Finnegan Royal and you’re likely to get a few dozen paintballs fired in your direction. After leaving Atlanta with his dad a few weeks prior to the start of tenth grade, Finn finds himself having to start over with no friends, an unfamiliar small town and school, and most disconcerting of all... no paintball team. Finn may have been a star paintball player in Atlanta, but in Blackwater, Florida (population 12,439) he’s just the new kid. He thinks he's caught a break by being invited to the local paintball field by a team of fellow students, but a prank has him arriving an hour early… and then he’s simply turned into a walking target for the other players. His school’s team isn’t welcoming him with open arms, and a game mistake further alienates him from a nearby town's team. The only glimmer of hope for Finn is some attention coming from Marisa, but even this young lady has him tongue-tied and tripping over every object in his path. When Finn's not on the paintball field, he's finding work around town using the handyman skills taught to him by his mom, but even part-time work is causing trouble for the young man. And while Finn's dad is re-opening the town's only Italian restaurant and enjoying the repairs that Finn is making around the place, he's concerned that his son hasn't dealt with the loss of his mother to cancer two years earlier. Life is definitely a bit overwhelming for Finnegan Royal, but things are looking up – the mysterious player named Ghost is showing him some attention on the playing field, Marisa has accepted Finn’s invite to study Chemistry while sharing a pizza, and the school's only paintball team is in need of some additional players for an upcoming tournament. Finn is about to learn that while change is inevitable, sticking to his guns (or, in this case, his paintball markers) and remaining true to himself will get him through life’s toughest obstacles.
