Lillian and Shelle are paired. One can read emotions, one can fake emotions. Both love each other. But that isn't allowed. All pairs in Illegnia have one person who can read emotions and one who can fake emotions. The reader can read any other Reader's emotions, from just a look on their faces. The Faker can place false emotions on their faces, and the only person who can read them is their pair. But if a pair falls in love, they will be split apart, and never have the life of a human. The point of living on Illegnia is to be paired, but Lillian and Shelle don't want to separate or change... Even if it means they have to tear the world down to be together.

The inspiration for this story came from my parents and the well-known novel "The Illustrated Man". My parents are...for a lack of a better term, an odd couple. An athletic, smart scientist and a food-loving, always-planning-everything-out project manager. I took a step back and looked at them for their personalities, and realized that no matter how different they are, they are still capable of time-withstanding love. "The Illutsrated Man" contributed a lot of the way I have written this story. In the beginning, Ray Bradbury says, "This book is a collection of What Ifs?" And I have taken that What If? style of writing, and composed 6 romance stories, each pair of people being very diverse in their personalities and actions. I hope you enjoy.

Can they help them? Can they earn their trust? Can they protect Sanga in Touga's place? Will they let help them? Will they trust them? Will Touga's wounds heal?

Poetry: I wanted to try writing a happy poem for once lol i wanted to capture the sweet, innocent feeling of young love, before tinder and sex and nudes come along to fuck it all up. inspired by the song 'put your head on my shoulder' by the amazing Paul Anka (my favourite song of all time, which has actually been stuck in my head for the last week too) and also a creative short story i wrote a while ago with a similar theme. if u would like me to post that short story too then maybe shoot me a message or something <3
