Lainey Blake is the daughter of Shane Blake, a famous paleontologist. She always follow her father to dig sites to dig dinosaur bones. Because of her father, she's into dinosaurs unlike typical 15 year old girls who are more interested in make-up, gossips and boys. One day, a rich man, John Hammond invites Lainey's father and Lainey on a trip to an island he brought near Costa Rica with a few selected experts to tour the theme park full with unexpected creatures. All on their own, the chicks have to run through the dense jungle in order to avoid being a carnivore's next meal.

A pyromancer visits a village where strange creatures from an ancient swamp are kept as companions. This story incorporates real animals from the Carboniferous and Permian periods. For the most part, I have attempted to portray them in a way that is accurate to my (amatuer) understanding of the real organisms, but ultimately this is a fantasy story. They possess many traits that are idealistically speculative at best, their relationships with each other are almost always anachronistic, and some of them have traits that are outright magical. Much like when animals that live today are included in fantasy stories, they are not quite the same as the real thing! Please keep that in mind when reading.
