I hope this story is not too cliche. It's about a woman who is saved by a man who transforms into a wolf. She is temporarily blinded due to a hit that she received. His mate was killed without him able to do much except kill half of the ones that ambushed them. He wanted to die right along with her, but fate had other plans. Will he get a second chance at happiness or will he refuse and die alone?

Most people avoided the house at the edge of town. It's hard to pinpoint the exact reason. Maybe it's the overgrown yard, scattered with dead trees that sway without a breeze. Maybe it's the way the hairs on the back of your neck stick up, like the house is watching you.
