One year before the events of the main DanMachi series, the down on his luck, wannabe adventurer Ophi Euchus finds a goddess in the most unlikely of places. He wants to help her, and she wants to return his kindness, so the two form Bastet Familia, and from there Ophi's life starts to turn around. His past still haunts him, but through the support of his goddess and the friends that he meets around Orario, Ophi learns that he can overcome the past and build a new future in: DanMachi Side Story: Cat Tale!

A little ripper finds themself in the dungeon of Orario. How will they go about the city outside and the people who inhabit it. Will the people they meet change them or will they stay the same little ripper?
