But when you see it for yourself, you're suddenly willing to believe that pigs can fly. But none of that went through my mind, as I watched him lose everything he ever had. I knew what it was like to be shunned, hated and unwanted. That's how he'd made me feel my entire life. But somehow a part of me just couldn't let him feel worthless, no matter how bad he'd made me feel. All I knew was that Jesse needed a friend. A real one.
