Author's Note: I had composed a personal narrative in regards to my "happy place." This poetry is based upon the rooftop perspective of my home; a means of stress relief. Indeed, the opportunity to experience such a view is breathtaking. It allows an individual to "let go" with a lack of criticism and judgment. And now, I call upon the chase to discover one's utopia. In fact, the journey and its destination is blissful.

Lips perked. Eyes closed. Two feet planted. Toes clutching earth. Air flowing through fingertips. Hair kinked and motionless. Stomach in knots. Palms sweaty. Heart palpitating. And now it's over. It will never be the same. Lips are now slightly perked. Eyes open. Feet are still planted. Toes no longer clutched. Air never flows. Hair is no longer kinked. Stomach knots untwined.
