One of the other cowboys tries to get him fired with the boss, which makes him want to send Xavier out for work. Then he notices that something's wrong with Xavier's bandages. Willard sees Xavier coming off of a boat, and they've never met before. Despite the fact they've never seen each other before, Xavier seems overly excited to see him. Willard tries to ignore it and play along, but it soon seems that that was exactly what Xavier wanted. (Today's prompt was "Write a story where a scent or taste reminds a character of a memory.")
