Supling
The war was over. Dream was locked away and would be forever. But that didn't help with the damage of the small village they had fought in.
Sam the leader of the prison, also called 'The Warden' Was walking through the burnt down buildings and exploded paths, through the walls that had collapsed on the ground. And all this just to capture one guy, hundreds lost for ONE GUY! "You green son of a bit-" He started but soon got cut off by a sound.
A small cry echoed through the burnt air and Sam stopped dead in his tracks. "What the..Yo Ant! Did you hear that!?" He yelled over to Antfrost who was locking for potential survivors. "Yeah..sounds like a ki-" This time Ant was cut off by that same cry.
Sam equipped his sword and nodded for Ant to do the same. Slowly they approached where the sound came from. And there it was, a tiny kid, not older than one, tucked against a woman.
Sam checked the woman's pulse and sighed and shock his head to Ant whose ears dropped. "How about the kid." Ant pointed, his sword still drawn like he was waiting for an attack from nowhere.
"The kid..." Sam looked down at the tiny figure. The little thing wasn't something ordinary, it had a gray ish skin tone and a tiny tail tucked around the woman's arm. Two small horns were visible, poking out from its head.
"I...I don't know.." Sam murmured and slowly lifted the tiny creature up.
"I..I will take them, they need someone to take care of them." Sam whispered. "But Sam, you're a prison guard, you can't take care of a-" Ant shut up as he saw the little kid looking at Sam and playing with the uniform he was wearing.
Ant sighed and smiled. "Awesamdude, if this is your choice I'm not going to stop you," Ant then immediately threw his hands up. "But if this goes wrong then I want to be able to say 'I told you so'..deal?" He offered his hand and Sam chuckled before grabbing it. "Deal."
