The continents have been reconnected. In the near dystopian future, ( about 2500) at the age of ten all children go to an academy to learn and develop. Once there, you never see your family ever again. The goal of this rigorously prestigious institution is to force people into a specific category of work based on intelligence. The people who run the academy are trying to control the world by turning everyone into a mindless dependent zombies, arranging everyone's entire life. Those who cannot be controlled (Refuges) are deported to a different institution in Europe for it to be determined whether they are Exclusions or Soldiers. Exclusions are extremely intelligent and are either killed, contained, or studied to see what makes them able to resist the Elite. Soldiers are treated as prisoners and trained to defend the Elite Tower, and hunt down Runaways, escaped Refuges. The system is flawless, until Aria, is mistaken for a Soldier. This breach allows her to train and enlighten Soldiers around her to the scheme around them. Aria plans to convert as many Soldiers as she can to Activists, a new clan determined to get to Australia, the only continent still separated, which is now wild lands. Once there, she must help plan how to take the Elite down.

Skipping - formerly know as Time-Skipping - helped reduce the overpopulation that plagued the world in 2218. At first, they'd Skipped scientists, doctors, and military leaders; in short, people that were excited to discover a different version of their own miserable world. They'd sent along communications systems, med bays, and any other technologies they could think of to help the pioneers set up a new civilization. The plan was to eventually start Skipping people by the thousands to help lower the population - but something went wrong. Cut to 2238. Skipping is now used as a punishment. The government empties the prisons by Skipping the prisoners to a fate that might be worse than death. Carter had heard the stories. Prisoners were Skipped with only the clothes on their backs and the shoes on their feet. It wasn't likely they'd lasted more than a few hours in the strange lands of the past and far distant future. He'd been in isolation for seven months by the time they finally decided to Skip him - his family's reputation had saved him for at least that long, enough time to say goodbye to the people he loved, but not enough time to overturn his sentence. So they Skip him, and to his surprise, he doesn't die in the first two hours. In fact, he lasts through the night and partway through the morning. That's when he meets Shalom and his camp - more like small city, to be realistic - of pioneers. Shalom's made the camp home for over 500 people and counting. It seems idyllic at first: everyone works together, there are no wealthy, there are no poor, and the people are friendly. But there's a rival camp only a few miles away; a rival camp that is desperate to get their hands on the precious resources that Shalom's people have - medbays, 'screens, as much technology from 2218 as they'd been able to carry. And there's something lurking outside the camps walls; the sinister beast that the prisoners back in 2238 had nightmares about.

Then, the Subzero started. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ A year after the Late Asteroid Bombardment, a winter came that seemed to last a lifetime. No one expected the new apocalypse coming---the Subzero. The dust particles of dissolved Mars and asteroids shrouded the atmosphere, preventing the sunlight from reaching the planet's surface. The Earth turned into a complete ball of ice, freezing even the flux of life. Food became a luxury. The extinction began. Survival became impossible. Seventeen years in existence, a survivor of the first two apocalypse, now struggling against the Subzero, Halley Jacquards is left alone after her whole family died. She is left to suffer starvation and thirst, oppressed by the blizzard that turns everyone frozen. Tempted and forced to go outside from hunger, she meets Grey Laxford of South Division, who promises to help her into survival. Ranging from the divisions of Pangaea Ultima to the Pacific Ring of Fire, the South Division team will suffer the wrath of nature, the lost of technology, the inconsistency of trust, and everyone's greed just to survive. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Copyright © 2016 J.
