Pantoum Stories

I wrote all of these poems (except one, which I'll say in the A/N of it's own) in my Short Stories and Creative Writing class. (2011-2012, first semester. Yes, I was a freshman when I wrote these poems.) If your school has this class, and you haven't taken it, I would suggest you do so, it's a great class. I'm sure that my writing would have been a lot better if I would've taken it my senior year, instead of just last year. It was a great class anyway. :)

"Write Upon My Stone" has turned into a collection of my poems about death, and other of my poems with dark themes. I will be adding to this collection with both new and older poems with those themes. Love, peace, and freedom. Olan L. Smith (aka Cotton Jones).

A Pantoum. It's a bit more abstract than all of my other poems. The "i's" are lowercase on purpose, even though usually I have them uppercase.

Two years is too short of a time with someone you love. Especially if they are deployed overseas for the majority of your marriage. But what if he comes home, but not the way you envisioned it so many times in your head? This poem is from the point of view of a young military bride. *This is a pantoum poem I wrote in my college creative writing class. I have written only two pantoums so far. "The Bird" was just a little something I came up with, but "Her Gray Hoodie" is much deeper. It represents a time and feeling I had in my life and how I clung to hope and support..

Apparently, its poetry month on Wattpad, so I figured I'd share some of the poems that I've done. ^_^ I hope you enjoy them!

Back in 9th grade, we were assigned to make a poetry book. I might just share them to you since I don't know what to do with them anyways. Eventually when I feel like posting some of my other poems, I'll uh... add them here. This might bore you but, I just want to post this since it's rotting ...
