The forgotten temple of the Goddess Narine, the mystical Lady Mist, and a new army controlled by evil. Will they overcome such tremendous odds?   The deep desert is a vast wasteland, thousands of miles of shifting sands and blowing winds. Ancient obelisks are discovered leading to the forgotten temple of the Goddess Narine. The reading of the Twelve Tablets brings forth a mystical being, but also releases a powerful evil. All the people of the eastern and deep desert are in peril. Those possessed by the evil must be stopped before it can be brought back into balance. Can it be done?   Don't miss this exciting tale of an ancient Goddess, mystical evil, and epic battles! Reviews: ***** ...What I most enjoy about this story is the ability of the author to draw one into the minds of his characters, even those who happen to be on the "wrong" side of the battle. Additionally, the banter is natural and entertaining, the characters are complex and dynamic, and the battles are epic and exciting. On that note, few authors are able to narrate a battle with such skill that they can keep me from skimming through them, but R.L. Kiser is one of them.  ·· Patricia Hamill on Goodreads **** R.L. Kiser has created a really epic trilogy with the Tales of the Crystal series and I have loved each one more than the other. The Twelve Tablets is fast paced and it really forces your brain to try to keep up with all of the action, while at the same time keeping you engaged in the characters. For me, this book is very character driven and I like that fact. Each character is well fleshed out and you can picture them in your mind and understand why they choose to do the actions they do. Lovers of fantasy are really going to enjoy this last installment of the series because it hits all the key points you like to see in well written fantasy work. I am glad that I started reading this series and would highly recommend it. ·· Kathryn Bennett for Readers' Favorite

His exorcism rites however were unconventional. No use of a bible or a crucifix or even holy water, but the ecclesiastical community didn't seem to mind. Called for a meeting one day, the Holy Pope instructs him to investigate a recent, of the many, demoniacal attacks in an orphanage house of St. Therese. Once there, he quickly discovered the cause, but never had he expected it to come from an unlikely source: a woman, who had broken his protective walls in more ways than one.... ~ 0 ~ For as long as Aurora Alexis Clave remembered, living in the orphanage house had been peaceful. Despite being bullied as a child because of a birthmark on her neck, she remained steadfast and compassionate. When the demon possessions started pouring in, she began to wonder how she could help. When opportunity came to do just that, she quickly grabbed it. However, she hadn't anticipated she'd have to deal with an alluring exorcist priest whose attitude was as labile as the direction of the wind. As their paths collide, attraction between them arises and dark secrets were soon uncovered. Dark secrets that involved realms beyond her human mind could handle.... This story was beautifully written. I love books written in this Era and Melanie captures the feel of that time by immersing us deep in the culture. She weaves a tender tale of how childhood friends face heartbreak, compassion, and love that transcends years to bring them together forever. - First Amazon review. A Friendship’s Love Filled with the dreams of youth, and surrounded by the love of her family and friends, Payton Martin’s world was simple. When someone closest to her is cruelly betrayed and unjustly sent away, life afterwards proves never to be the same for everyone involved, beginning a series of events beyond her control. Somehow, through the years that follow, Payton manages to deal with the heartache of loss and rejection, all while balancing her new situation, and becoming her own woman. Finally settled into a life that she could only once imagine, Payton is content; especially when the promise of love is presented by someone she admires and trusts. Nothing ever goes to plan, though. Once again she is faced with surviving circumstances, and choices others make on her behalf. This time, they ultimately take her across the ocean, to settle in a harsh new land.

What makes this a fun read is the slightly flawed good guys, the babes with beauty, brains and brawn, and the magical characters Thisrena and Ith, the thnake that thpeaks with a lithp. Recommended reading.  ·· J.D. King **** - This is a good story, full of magic and some very surprising characters and twists... Charming and mysterious characters, magical creatures, and not-so-perfect foes make this a fun read.  ·· Patricia Hamill on Goodreads   **** I was intrigued with the story from the very beginning… R.L. Kiser has written chapter one so deftly to reel in readers’ curiosity to keep reading. Characterization is superb; both heroes and villains have flaws leading to humorous moments… plot development is fresh. Kiser’s flawless writing style helps keep the plot tight throughout the story as well as maintain a good pacing. On the whole, a satisfying read and a great start for a series. ·· Lit Amri for Readers' Favorite

The reason I decided to write this book is because the majority of the seven billion people in the world are struggling to find the money to survive in a world where everything including essentials such as food, shelter, water, electricity, fuel and gas is becoming more and more expensive. Technology is here to help us but it comes at a cost. A cost we are finding many of us in the world do not have and cannot afford. The fact is we rely on this technology and essentials to live. Many countries now urgently require these essentials to survive food and water shortages and technology to stay in touch with the rest of the world. Why do some societies have so much and others do not have enough? http://www.worldhunger.org/articles/Learn/world%20hunger%20facts%202002.htm

A 6'5" starship captain flees a lost war and lands on Earth in 1600s feudal Japan. Imagine the possibilities! Culture Clash! A tall white man from an advanced space traveling culture lands in primitive 1600s feudal Japan. The disparity is obvious. This can go one of two ways. Either the locals can be instantly on the defensive and try to kill or capture this tall interloper, or they can try to learn who and what he is. Which will it be? Reviews: ***** Great fun! This book is just a lot of fun! With flavors of Samurai and Steam-punk adding spice, it rocks along from delight to surprise, and all along it is highly satisfying. Oh, on first reading, towards the end I thought maybe it bogged down. But it is the sort of book you want to re-read as soon as you finish it, because it was just so much fun. The story continues apace, right to the last page. And the ending is a pure delight. Don't peek, you won't get it. But I can assure you: it will give you huge satisfaction, and you will be glad you chose to read this book. •• William Fletcher **** ...Overall, this is an entertaining book on many levels. There is real-life and science fiction technology, laser fights and battles between uneven forces where the underdog must overcome long odds, strong women who overcome social barriers and can hold their own, and a little mystical and technological awesomeness in the main character Kendrick. Those who enjoy humorous situations and camaraderie will find more than a sufficient dose in this book to satisfy their funny bones. •• Patricia Hamill on Goodreads ***** Exciting - this is the most appropriate word to describe Exile. Author R.L. Kiser put a bit of everything in the story. Simply put, Exile is a stellar work from Kiser, with appealing characters and an absorbing tale. •• Lit Amri for Readers' Favorite
