I forced myself to blink and everything was light. The light slowly diminished to the pale rays of the morning sun through my darkened window drapes. I found myself wrapped up tight in my bed sheets, clammy and flush. I looked out at the four corners of my bed in disappointment tinged with relief. In my head, I could still feel a final reverberation of "Keep in line."
