Quickshadow calls 911 and Hot shot is taken to Cook Children's hospital where doctors determine that Hot shot is paralyzed from the waist down and needs a wheelchair. Hot shot takes it in stride. He soon meets four other kids his age who had a similar accident. They become the best of friends and learn to use their new wheelchairs together. (Humanized)
