In the midst of war one man is faced with a journey to unknown lands to for fill a mission he has no details or reasoning for. All he can do is hope all goes well and he is home soon, but things are never as simple as that. (Written as part of a English Language GCSE creative writing short story)

After the emergency UNSC destress call was activated in the planet called Equalizer veridain III UNSC warships Deathclaw, Nova Six and Jarhead come over to take care of the covenant. Marquise and his soldiers in the HellJumper Company 187th Drop down and try to take care of the aliens on the surface while the warships destroy the covenant ships.

After completing two years of service as regular infantry, First Sergeant Megan Bonti finally decides to request a transfer to be a part of the paratroops. She had just about had enough of her commanding officer underestimating her abilities and wanted something new. She had been one of the first qualified paratroops and thus decided to transfer to where her skills could be better used. When she first arrives at Toccoa, she isn't quite sure what she's in for. The men seem welcoming enough but are quite a rowdy bunch. Despite being their new senior NCO, they quickly take her under their wing and she's very much like a sister to them, dubbing her 'Angel' or 'Angel Eyes'. This does not go unnoticed by a certain Lt. World War Two, this story follows the lives of a group of soldiers from Bravo Company, Mike, Novomber, Oscar and Papa Platoons. This is not a historically accurate story it is not meant to be spot on, but I did try to make it accurate for the most part. The characters are paratroopers from a fictional "22nd Airborne division" Enjoy the story!

Of the 156,000 Allied Troops that landed in Normandy on June 6, 73,000 were American, and of those 73,000 only around 13,000 were Paratroopers, a combination of both the 82nd and 101st Airborne. Roughly 2,500 of those paratroopers would be killed, wounded, or declared Missing in Action in the operation. Mitchell L. Werner trained hard to be in the 82nd Airborne, and is part of the special force that was designated for the D-day invasion. On June 5th, 1944, he finally goes to war, but the cost of the War can be surprising. War takes many things, but sometimes it doesn't take one's life.
