Pareidolia Stories

It's called pareidolia, where you see faces in inanimate objects, except the faces I see talk. The faces in the trees, the walls, the ceiling - they talk to me. Sometimes I hear whispers in the dark and I know there's a face hiding in the bookshelves. They're under the couch, in the carpet, whispering - snickering.

Everyone's life is interesting, they just don't think so until other people hear about it. Then you'll realise that your life might not have been as boring and perfect as you thought. It will never be perfect. If it is, congratulations. Me and the other billions of people living on Earth all envy you. BOOK ONE

Dead, screaming stories that I found hiding under the bushes. If something doesn't make sense in this story, do not contact me.

Jungwon has always seen faces where none exist. It's a harmless psychological quirk, or so he thought. But after a brief encounter with a stranger at a psychiatrist's clinic, the same face starts appearing in places it shouldn't. In glass. In rain. In the corners of empty rooms. And the more Jungwon tries to ignore it, the more it seems to be looking back.
