Not that I don't think the ending wasn't predestined since the very first avengers. But I'm so entirely saddened over the fact Tony never gets his happy ending. I suppose in that span of 5 years he lived out a bit of normalcy. He and Pepper got married and had a beauty baby girl who he was willing to give his life to protect. It's so honorable as if something it was something he felt he needed to do since the beginning. He would do anything to protect what they've fought and sacrificed for.
