"We all thought going to that school would make you a superhero."
"Yeah, and I wanted to become a super-villain, looks like neither of us got what we wanted."

Max Thunderman finally hit his parents last nerve. They decided it was best if their self acclaimed 'super-villain' son went ahead to drop his 'phase'. They sent him to a special boarding school for 'villain phase supes' that shape them up into superheroes.
Or at least that's what they thought.
Max himself thought this was like military school for supes too. Apparently, that's the way the school likes to keep it.
When heroes alone take care of villains wanting to take over the world and make it their empire, they don't have time to notice the true evil in their comic-book-like-world, the real evil lurking in the literal shadows. At the end of the night, you don't always save the day.
Superheroes are going missing. All eyes point to Max's new group of friends, but are they really so sure? You'd be surprised that with enough hate, anyone could be capable of unspeakable acts.

Wow, that was so corny.
Have you seen Shadowhunters? Yes? No? Don't need to to read this book, but if you have seen it, I think you'll like this.
