Meiko Shinohara-Williams, while beginning the journey of her modeling career, had first met Samuel Lee, a person she had aspired to follow in the footsteps of, in a moment of pure humiliation- She had thought that would be their last meeting. But when opportunity takes her to the Big Apple to begin her career in earnest, fate brings the two together once more. She takes the chance to clear away her humiliation, and to ask for his phone number in a moment of brave spontaneity. And so begins their long-distance friendship!
