On the outskirts of the imperial Japanese village, near Kyoto, lived a girl named Lily Rice, who was soon to turn 16, and make a harrowing decision: continue the burden of holding the curse of the Lunar Goddess' silent death threat, thanks to Lily Rice's great-grandmother Hakano by way of marriage on her 16th birthday, or to face the Lunar Goddess on the evening before and accept the sacrifice. Will the love she finds be her safeguard and protector, or will he be the downfall in an uprising of her new kingdom.
