This short-story follows the in's and out's of the best part of a young New Yorker's day; sitting on a bench in Central Park. Sitting next to the same man for a year, she starts to gather more about him from his mannerisms and appearance. Slowly, it becomes evident someone we take for granted can become someone we rely upon.

Death can come in the blink of an eye, the flash of a light. Or the moment a child screams.

Paris is a teenage girl that lives with her abusive farther, when she snuck out at night to get her mind off everything she met someone at the park bench...

Forbidden love story

This is a parkbench scene that Heart_101 and I wrote in drama class. It' about a smoker and a guy whose wife was stabbed sitting together on a hospital bench.

It's been 5982 days and every morning, Jules wakes up and can't remember anything from her past. But she keeps a notebook, it reminds her of her name and all other important things in her life. Every day is the same, until one day. Jules runs to the park trying to find peace as she wakes up to find another day of memories missing. There she meets Nathan, and then she starts to remember.

A cigarette, a park bench, and a sunrise. It seemed so perfect in the moment, it always does.

How odd, how peculiar, how wonderful. I can talk after all, and he can smile after all.

He was gone when she needed him most, how could she forgive him? This is what goes through Fayre Luera's head when her childhood friend shows up at their special spot after leaving for eight years. He's still her Lion; still the boy with golden locks and sparkling eyes, but she's still a broken girl, and the emotions when she sees him standing there are indescribable. Leo Widner has his own problems. He didn't want to leave his Fairy behind all those years ago, but he had no other choices. After seeing Fayre after all of those years, all he wants to do is hold her and tell her why he left her; tell her all of his secrets, but he's embarrassed, and can't bring himself to speak those words. And as if things could get worse, his crush on his best friend he thought would be gone by now, is still definitely there, stronger than ever. She's still as beautiful as she was before, if not ten times more, and he can't deny that. Can Fayre open up to Leo and forgive? Can Leo fess up and tell her why he left? And will their friendship be mended and maybe even be turned into more?

A lot can happen at a park bench, you have the average pigeon feeders, the homeless people, and the picnics, then you have the love stories, the proposals, and, the murders, so many different things, one bench, let's see what happens.

Park bench, it's a silly thing really. Basing a love story off of a stupid old park bench. But then again it holds the memories I never could. It holds the only past I could redeem. We met at the park bench, me and him, Katie and Ashton. They told us we would make it, we would change the world and make everyone who lost love believe in it again. I believed it, he believed it, we believed it. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. This is a love story about a shy, awkward girl who met an outgoing, funny boy and they had the perfect love story. Just like the movies. But just like the movies there is a tragedy. Just like the movies there is a loss. Just like the movie there is an ending, there is always an ending. But who am I kidding? It was just a park bench. Park bench, a silly thing, isn't it?
