روزيان وجيمين، طالبان في سنتهما الجامعية الأخيرة في جامعة سيدني يعيشان قصة حب بدت لهما أقوى من الزمن نفسه. كانا يخططان للمستقبل كما يفعل كل العشاق أحلام صغيرة عن منزل دافئ وضحكات مشتركة وحياة يواجهانها معًا مهما كانت قاسية.. لكن المستقبل كان يخطط لشيء آخر في مختبر الكيمياء الدوائية وبين المعادلات والأجهزة والتجارب التي يفترض أن تكون مجرد مشروع تخرج عادي يرتكبان خطأً واحدًا فقط... خطأ صغيرًا إلى درجة أنه بدا غير مهم في تلك اللحظة. معادلة ناقصة ومادة لم يكن ينبغي أن تمتزج بأخرى.. ثم يحدث المستحيل ينفجر الضوء ويجدان نفسيهما في عام 2034.. عالم لم يعد يشبه العالم الذي عرفاه يومًا ناطحات سحاب تلامس السماء، وتقنيات تتجاوز الخيال ومدينة تلمع بأضواء باردة لا تحمل أي دفء..لكن صدمة المستقبل لا تكمن في تطوره... بل في الحقيقة التي ينتظرهما اكتشافها داخله. هناك، يكتشفان أن قصة الحب التي ظنّا أنها خالدة لم تنجُ ولم يصبحا العائلة التي حلما بها تحت سماء سيدني.. بدلًا من ذلك يجدان أشباح نفسيهما تتجول في المستقبل. الآن، وبين ماضٍ لم يعد بإمكانهما العودة إليه بسهولة، ومستقبل يرفض أن يرحمهما، يجد روزيان وجيمين نفسيهما في سباق مستحيل ضد الزمن. فهل يمكن لشخصين أن يغيرا قدرًا كُتب لهما منذ سنوات؟
