There's a killer who escapes to a parallel universe, a frozen caveman with a bullet in his skull, a woman who claims to have witnessed her own murder, a toddler assassin, time-traveling dictators, and subatomic-particle sniffing butterflies. For Mole, this time more than just his reputation is on the line.

A dystopian space novella created for the ONC Open Novella Contest 2023, the story is set in the rock-bound space surrounding the Terran solar system at the edge of interstellar space. The story's origin is set in the 21st Century at the death of Wilhelm (Bill), the last living male member of a North American old-money family the De Schmittenveres. In 2021, science reporter Alex Whitmore finds herself reporting live from the control room at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, home to the Large Hadron Collider. It's the day of the experiment, the culmination of a century's work by physicists attempting to uncover the fundamental nature of the universe. A new power source will make the collider capable of probing deeper than humanity has ever seen into the fabric of space time. But in attempting to recreate the Big Bang, the LHC sets off a catastrophic sequence of events of which Alex may be the sole survivor. She awakens, alone inside the control center where only moments earlier she'd been surrounded by peers, scientists and onlookers - all of whom are now dead. Follow Alex as she makes her escape from CERN only to realize the devastation is far worse than she feared, into a world forever changed by the pursuit of knowledge.

"The Memory of the Universe" is a philosophical prose poem exploring the phenomenon of memory without memories-not just in human or artificial consciousnesses, but in the entire universe. The poem connects concepts from quantum physics, astronomy, and love to illuminate how perhaps not only we carry echoes of the past, but every element of existence. A meditative journey through time and space, where the dance of particles and the experience of love are expressions of the same ancient remembrance.

Wanna learn some basic principles of quantum physics? I got ya! I love and adore quantum physics and I hope I'll make a job out of this hobby I have. And I want people to see the beauty of quantum mechanics even though this shit doesn't make any sense at all. Warning ⚠️: I may make some mistakes or forget some things, so please don't hesitate to correct me! I hope you understand everything and if you don't totally, feel free to DM me for further explanations! And if you are a lover of quantum physics, I would love to discuss it with you! What if all adults disappeared without a trace? A world without parents, teachers or authorities may seem like a dream of freedom - until it becomes a nightmare. In search of answers, a group of young people embark on a dangerous journey, defying the laws of physics and delving into mysteries that go beyond human comprehension. As they explore the unknown, they come across disturbing revelations about the impact of science on humanity and how reality can be much more fragile - and manipulable - than they imagined. Get ready for a plot full of suspense, scientific discoveries and unexpected twists, where each chapter brings them closer to their greatest challenge: bringing their parents back. But this mission has a price, and it may require more than courage. How far would you go to bring back the one you love? And what would you be willing to sacrifice to understand the unexplainable?
