We were childhood friends. Abigail Bailey. The girl with a sweet smile. I could remember her chestnut brown hair and her chocolate brown eyes. She was pretty in every way. I loved everything about her. Things started to change. We were not meant to be. I loved her yet the story of Romeo and Juliet happened between us. We were not fated. I hated it. Why can't we be together. I wanted to be her anaesthetic. ********************** "Abigail Bailey, don't you know me?"He muttered, his eyes were watery. "Can't we be together?"

"No Dating, boyfriends or anything of that sort until you're done with your education. Promise me?" My mom stated narrowing her eyes. Ha! that's the stupidest punishment ever. I thought. I never had any boyfriend or anyone close to that, and I will never have one. I had crushes, no doubt and I was asked out twice or thrice. But my activities always kept me so busy, I never had time for dating and stuff. "That's it?" I questioned. "You want more of punishments?" She frowned. "NO!" I exclaimed. "I mean, that's really easy. Okay, I promise to you...." I lifted my right hand in pledge and continued "...NO BOYFRIEND until I am done setting up my career. Good night mom" and with that said, I smiled victoriously and marched back to my room. Little did I know that little punish/promise was about to mess up my happy-go-lucky life. ------------------------------------------------------ When Alisha (Allie), a 16 year old, like any other normal teenager gets back home late from a party, is been given the weirdest punishment ever. It's been a tradition in her family from the time her elder brother was born- 'Every mistake or disobedience earned them punish/promise'. She once had to give up watching Spongebob for months as a punish/promise. That is how it has always been. It was now a normal thing for her. But, (there’s always a “but”) what happens when her best friend, Aryan starts behaving weird (in her dictionary). Or even worse, what happens when she starts falling for him? It's been a long while I haven't talked to her. There was a time we never missed a single moment without talking to each other except of those silent nights when we used to allow our eyes to do all the talking. Since few days I haven't listen her sweet voice messages which she used to send me when my status showed "busy" to the world. This silence was tearing me apart.
