A nation divided. A love caught in the crossfire. And a wound that never heals.
In August 1947, India 's map is being torn in half. For an Anglo-Indian woman with the blood of the Empire and the heart of the Punjab, the 'Ghost Train' was supposed to be a path to safety. Instead, it became a slaughterhouse. There, she met him a 'Black' categorized rebel of the INA, a soldier without a war.
Meeting amidst the silence of a Ghost Train, they form a desperate pact to survive the madness of Partition. As they travel through the smoking ruins of the Punjab, they realize that the deepest wounds aren't the ones on their skin, but the ones on their souls.
Caught in the fire between a retreating Empire and a rising Nation, will these two broken souls find salvation in one another? Finally healing the Zakhm (the wound)?
