Of course he didn't leave Akira empty handed, he wasn't an evil bastard for he loved his son. His father sent him to America but not alone though. He hired one of his business clients Storm Briar to mentor his son as well as educating him on having a proper lifestyle. Upon sending him away out of the country he purchased a penthouse tower for him to live in, as well as putting large amount of money in his account to live off of until he does better.
