Sad poetry I write when I need to vent about something. I share it in hopes of someone being able to relate to what I write and maybe it will help them. I feel this part of my life has concluded and a similar yet new ongoing poetry collection will be made in place of this one's end.

Alexander Foster and his brother Andrew are new to Prescott High. Since it's such a small town, all the girls are obsessed, and totally adoring both of them. Blythe Nash has lived here her whole life. She's extremely smart, and is the star on the softball team. Her heart skips a beat the first time she sees Alexander. How strange is it that he can hypnotize her with just one look? A story where the good girl falls for the bad boy. Cliché, but different. Alex and "Curly" really may not be that different at all. *Some quotes/pictures/gifs may come from The Carrie Diaries, only because they all match with the story.**

"I feel as if my body is broken into pieces...as if ever since, I was dropped like a delicate beautiful vase and all of my pieces shattered against the cold hard floor of reality. Every piece cannot be found. Not even the the small core of me. I am Broken, and they or him can't do anything about it. Let me succumb to my cracks and wounds as I lay here to suffer slowly and painfully." Sequel to Little Things. All right reserved. Copyright 2013

Sometimes it's just too hard to say goodbye, especially when you don't feel it's your time to leave. If you don't, you might not get another chance; though second chances aren't always what you expect. For Jane and her son, Alex, one goodbye can take a lifetime.

EVEN MORE POETRY!!! And this is on the shittier side, sorry :P Still living up to my challenge! This was a collection of thoughts after we did an extensive research project on the U.S. history with Native Americans, and about how the culture is slowly slipping away into consumerism. DUUUUUUUDE…. totally rad and deep, MAN. (Sorry, I come from a sort of hippie school- it's the running joke to act high whenever someone says anthting remotley intelligent or deep) What are you even DOING reading this ramble? GO! READ THE ACTUAL THING!!!!!

~~Passing my not be my specialty...but something else is~~ Welcome to the world of Passers, where it's not unusual for people to slip right through solids. It's a world within the world today; Passers are normal people...except for their special skill. Meet Skylar McKnight, a 14 year old Passer, who, frankly, just can't Pass right. She can't help it; every time she tries to Pass Through, she gets thrown back. Solids just don't like her. Neither does most of her school. Students don't bother hiding their snickers and whispers, when it comes to her. But Skylar doesn't care; or at least, she tries not to. She sticks with her roommates, keeps up her sarcastic attitude, and tries again and again to Pass right. Little does she know that her life is about to become so much more complicated. Skylar has a skill. It's hidden in her blood, her bones, her very cells. Yet, no one knows exactly what it is. Sky's as curious as everyone else; yet she hesitates to dig deeper. After all, the events of just one day can't convince her to uncover secrets she didn't know existed. Problem is, Sky can't afford to wait too long. People want her, and not for anything good. At least, that is what she can assume from all the events taking place around her. Sky doesn't want, doesn't care, doesn't feel like being submerged into this new society. Except, no one cares about that. She struggles to go back to her world, to go back to where she thinks she belongs, but what she doesn't know keeps her trapped. There are hidden layers beneath what Sky knows of, locked doors hidden within what she's explored. She can't see them, and doesn't want to either. Yet her 'ability' keeps pulling her back, again and again, and she realizes that what she really needs to do is to simply turn around and face it all. The people she hated taught her that problems aren't solved by escaping them. So Sky sets out to do what she has to do, find what she has to find, and become who she must become.

This is a short story I wrote for an anthology at a Teen Writer's Workshop I did over the summer. I wanted to see if I could escape my typical dark, gory writing style and write something touching and intimate. In short, it's about a woman named Alice, her son Dillon, and the terrible event of the past that shapes the course of their lives. I do not own the artwork used for the book cover; credit goes to Pawlack, an artist on deviantart.
