I responded vaguely while I absentmindedly dazed out at nothing, not putting my full attention to someone who will mean nothing to me in days time. "Decades? Centuries?" He tried to elaborate. "How long have you lived, Mr. Baltimore?" I turned my gaze to him as I shot back a question instead. He pushed his glasses up on the bridge of his crooked nose, clearly he didn't think this conversation would be over in 10 minutes. Nonetheless, it seemed that he naively let me turn the tables. "Well I'm 27- 27 years." "If there is nothing else to look forward to then you should not live." "Are you-" "In my circumstance, Mr. Baltimore, there is no meaning to living decades or centuries. Day or night it's all the same, " Forcing down the rest of the overly caffeinated drink, I dragged my eyes back to him. "For a vampire, life is not about greater achievements. Life is hell."

I decided to rework the story, but I'll finish posting the original draft. It's a long story.. Like seriously, it's long as heck. Mostly because it's two stories in one.
