150 years after it's founding, the little trading post in the middle of the woods known as Blackwood has blossomed into a massive hub of technology and futuristic potential, a real city. Though New Village still stands proudly gleaming on the coast, a beacon to humankind and supernatural beings alike, Blackwood now holds it's own as a city of commerce and trade, as well as being the home of Amoriate University, a pan-species institution of higher learning and instruction of non human enrichment. A few miles from the University is where Little Village, the historic heart of the city rests and where our noble heroine, Modena, half Brazilian and half Elven Law student has moved in and made her new home for the next 4 years. Originating from the sheltered suburbs of New Village over 3 hours away, Mod is more than acquainted with learning the hard way from her past mistakes, and just wants to be a good girl, get her degree and get the f*** out. No parties, no friends and certainly no boys.
