As you'd expect he gets bullied but not just at school. Phil Lester is a rebellious teen, he dyes his hair, has tattoos and pircings but he's still a good student(kinda). When Phil's grades drop Dan begins to tutor him, the two boys become friends and discover a lot about each other eventually falling in love.
