Ophelia Ortega relied heavily on being independent. With an absent mother and a father she staunchly refused to speak to, or about, she had grown accustomed to being self sufficient. Moving to Boston had always been a top priority of Emily's. When she lived with her parents they were stuck in Revere Mass. But when she received a scholarship to Boston University she hurriedly moved, eager to escape her dark past and find new beginnings. It seemed all David was ever referred to was a rink rat...
