Say that Alastor wasn't as cruel and heartless as he is. What if he could love? What if he DID love? At the end of season two, as Vox is going insane, Valentino makes a hard decision. Instead of ripping Vox's head off his body, he fully kills the media overlord to ensure he can never do shit like put the entire pentagram in danger again. Vox would then wake up moments later in his old body. The body he woke up in when he'd first died. He hasn't just gone back to the past, though. He's gone into an alternate reality. In this alternate reality, Alastor isn't as cruel to Vox as he had been. Alastor is genuine. Emotional. Even sometimes vulnerable. At first Vox is weary and doesn't trust it.
