Only the richest of society can afford the best agates, but one thing is constant, most people will always be able to control a handful of agates. Not more, not less. Agatha is daughter to an impoverished seamstress with a single agate to her name. Christina is daughter to a nouveau riche that boasts a sea of agates in her body. One is bright and eager to eat the world regardless of her limitations. Another just wants to go unnoticed even if her condition doesn't allow so. Both girls intend on enrolling into the most prestigious military academy of the kingdom to become powerful wielders of agate, one intending to convert her single agate into the most powerful gemstone ever whilst the other just wants her overflowing gemstones to stop hurting people, especially herself. These opposites, though, will quickly find out that maybe there is more than rocks to life.
