Aeron has been looking for her long lost uncle and his son, while her aunt Anwyn, the person who took care of her, slowly dies even more with each passing minute. Anwyn finally gives Aeron a simple bracelet that will prove to Bran that she is his niece, and that she found him at long last.

Bran Cornick hates witches. Not only are witches and werewolves often enemies, but witches always seem to target him and his family. So what does it mean when a witch saves Bran's son, despite knowing who and what they are? How does she have so much power if she's not a black witch? And why does Bran's wolf say that this witch is his mate?

This story takes place in the world of the Mercy Thompson Series by Patricia Briggs. She owns all the rights to most of the characters in this short story fanfiction. This is set after the events of Storm Cursed. Estrella Ibnat Hussan is a character I made for a DnD campaign. I really connected with her, and when she told me that she had stories to tell, I listened. This is the first of many short stories I have planned for Estrella!
