After living in different places during her childhood and teen years, her parents finally landed in Chicago. She finished her medical school, with a minor in psychology, getting off debt free thanks to Chris, she started working in the heart of downtown. She started her residency, getting three years out of her hospital before she decided to leave. When she showed up to PTMC, she was finally a senior resident and the staff loved and respected her. But an arrogant, dark-haired doctor just loved getting under her skin. He'd cherry-pick his cases just so he could annoy her. And she hated it. Hated him. Hated his stupid, charming grin. Hated the ocean blue eyes that scrutinized her. Hated the (sadly) sharp jawline that flexed when she did something better than him. Everyone tried to ignore their bickering, but tensions rose to a new level when a new intern and medical students arrived. One with a very keen eye for inconsistencies. Fifteen hours on shift in the Pittsburgh ER. Critical patients, crowded hallways, and coffee bad enough to keep anyone awake. Gabriela has handled chaos before, what she didn't expect was having to deal with Dr. Langdon being so close to her all the time. Between adrenaline, lingering glances, and stolen moments between cases, keeping things professional starts to feel less and less possible. And some ideas are terrible... precisely because they're irresistible.

Langdon is back from his leave Dr. Robinavitch put him on after discovering he had been stealing medication from the hospital and patients. He struggles with the readjustment of assimilating back into his worklife, mending relationships, and atonement for his mistakes and taking accountability for the harm he's caused, scared that it will taint the view of himself others have. Santos on the other hand struggles with her resentment towards Langdon and it leaks into her work like a poisonous snakes venom, when she walks past Langdon she can help but to wince in anger and vitriol it seeps into her core and opens up wounds that haven't even closed.

They work side by side in a place where seconds matter and emotions are a liability. Dr. Elara Hayes and Dr. Frank Langdon couldn't be more different-she leads with empathy, he with precision. But beneath the constant clashes and lingering glances is a tension neither of them can ignore... and neither of them is ready to give in to. I do not own any characters from The Pitt, the only one I am responsible for is Dr. Elara Hayes. Some of the storylines and characters are thanks to The Pitt writers but this is loosely based on the episodes
