The Patriot se passa no ano de 1945 com a Alemanha conseguindo conquistar a Rússia, assim deixando o mundo todo em alerta pois o completo caos só estava começando. O protagonista é o filho do melhor soldado dos Estados Unidos, aquele que ganhou o titulo de "The Patriot", Tom Preesin. O filho de Tom é capturado pelos Alemães e sofre os abusos e torturas da Tríplice Reich, com o objetivo de tornarem ele e mais milhares de crianças nos melhores e mais leais soldados da a frota Nazista. A história gira em torno do filho de Tom e mostra como uma criança de 4 anos passa por todas as situações, tanto familiares como as de tortura na mão dos alemães, aonde seu psicológico muda por completo. Mostra também o que os Nazistas fariam se eles não tivessem perdido a segunda guerra, assim dando sequência para um Terceira Guerra Mundial.
