Marcus Reyes is tired of being treated like a piece of crap by his older brother Robbie Durhan. During their latest altercation during a family visit in August, Marcus thought he could finally stand up to Robbie and put a stop to it. Then Robbie broke his nose in front of the entire family, humiliating him to no end. A few years have passed, and Marcus still has not forgiven Robbie. Most of all, Marcus is tired of his mother Vernie, who has refused to pick a side and continues to pretend like it never happened. Everyone has expected Marcus to bottle his anger up and lock it away in a file cabinet. But as always, anger needs expression... Now, nearing the eve of the fight, Marcus has come up with a plan to finally settle the differences between him and his brother that he has set in motion for the past two years: A race down the twenty-mile stretch of Bogus Basin Road at Shaffer Butte. On the downhill, at night. A one-hundred plus mile-per-hour game of chicken with a drop down seven-thousand feet of elevation with social media watching via live stream. If Robbie wins, Marcus will admit defeat, and let go. If Marcus wins, Robbie will swear on their parents' grave to leave town, and never show his face around the family again as long as he lives. Marcus plans to drive his spec-tuned Honda Mugen EK-9 Turbo down the stretch, while Robbie intends to use his Dodge Challenger Scat Pack. Robbie is cocky, arrogant and overconfident that he is going to win. But this race is going to require a lot more than just torque and acceleration. Bogus Basin road is a treacherous stretch of asphalt, with unexpected twists and surprises around every corner. Even drivers who don't race have died trying to drive up or down that road! That, and Marcus plans to make sure that Robbie is left with scars that will haunt him for the rest of his life. By any means necessary. The road to revenge starts here.
