One day, as I guided my seven-year-old grandson Samuel to write his story about the millipedes, my penchant for writing was rekindled. Likewise, the inspirational blog "Wala Ka sa Lolo Ko" written by Picoy Gonzales (https://picoygonzales.blogspot.com) became part of my quiet time and devotion that I encouraged him and his wife Marlou, to compile the blogs and develop them into booklets which they can give away as gifts. These circumstances propelled me to write something about the experiences of a Grandma or "Lola" like me. Thus, the idea of compiling the Bible study guides which I developed for our family devotions and other life lessons I learned mostly from my parents gave birth to this booklet "Lessons from Grandma". Most often I share to my granddaughters Seanne and Drei who are in their teen years, stories of my youth, and how simple our life has been during our generation. I am glad that a Baby Boomer like me can relate to my millennial granddaughters. I am proud to say that Seanne and Drei are my best friends in the Now Generation.
On the other hand, Jesus taught in parables and He used object lessons such as mustard seed, soil, water, fig tree, and other familiar things to teach spiritual truth. Inspired by this, I developed and adopted my own style of writing by using familiar objects and presenting them in acrostic forms so that the lessons can be simply understood and remembered. Likewise, I have also included in this booklet, some of the messages I delivered on various occasions which I think is worthy to share with my grandchildren and the readers as well. With such, I therefore hope and pray that you will appreciate reading this humble creation as you apply Godly truths in your own life.
