Now that the war has ended, and peace has settled over the continents, Venom finds his life to be hollow and meaningless. Looking for something to fill this new void, fate ends up placing him in Jade Mountain as a self defense teacher. He ends up meeting Peacemaker, a strange hybrid from the rainforest, and Pereshpone, a LeafWing whom steals Venom's broken heart. But just as he thinks he's found a life he can be proud of, the peace in the continents is shaken as a mysterious figure pulls strings from the shadows, ready to plunge the world into chaos. With his new found friends, he sets out to stop this dragon from ruining the life he has made. Old enemies round every corner. Danger constantly lurks. Time fast forwards seven to eight years. Moonwatcher and Qibli's children are lovely, hybrid and moonborn. Peacemaker seems to be attached to the tribe's blacksmith, and he has absolutely no idea of his past self at all. Winter's scavenger sanctuary is a great success. Pantala is saved. Lunakeeper, Moon and Qibli's eldest daughter, is born with prophecy powers as strong as Clearsight's. She foresees victory and salvation, she foresees peace and harmony. But what she doesn't see, is what it will take to get to the blissful future she has in her head.

It's been three years and Waverly Earp is still missing. FBI, police, and her older sister Wynonna spent everyday looking for her, but no luck. Nicole Haught, the new police, hears about this and begs the Purgatory Town sheriff Nedley for the responsibility of finding Waverly.
