Venom is a RainWing who's lost everyone he cared about, removed from his own tribe, and has killed more dragons than he can remember. But now the war is over, and he has no idea who he is anymore. Is he an assassin? Some lost RainWing? Or maybe something else?
After years of wandering the continent, he decides to apply as a defense teacher for Jade Mountain, using the one thing he was truly good at to make some sort of living for himself. Here he meets the hybrid Peacemaker, someone as peculiar and lost as him. The two connect, and Venom believes he's finally found his place in the world.
Until some mysterious dragon starts causing problems in the continent, building tensions that could lead to a massive war that would tear the new, peaceful dragon world apart. Venom and Peacemaker take it upon themselves to find out who this dragon is, and-if necessary, kill them, so they can't do anything else.
Venom, now forced to kill again, is thrown back into turmoil, forced to question what truly makes who you are.
Did scales and tribe matter? Or did actions speak louder to everyone?
