A oneshot inspired by the book cover that I do not remember who made because it was a long time ago-

Hermit City is a city of heroes and villains, and Grian is one of its most reliably factual and truthful reporters. So reliable, in fact, that the Heroes' Association values him and his reports enough that they assigned him a bodyguard: HotGuy himself! Grian and Scar have been doing this for years, now, and their relationship is more than just that of bodyguard and charge. It might even be more than just a friendship! Their time to explore and find out what they are to each other is cut short when Grian starts investigating the famous Pearl Moon case, and Scar isn't there to protect him.

It's been two years since the Entity invaded Hermitcraft. The Hermits have moved on. Sure, the scars are still there, (especially Zedaph's) but they've faded! Season ten is here, and so are two new Hermits! They don't know of the horrors the Entity brought to Hermitcraft, only a bit of what their friends have told them. Joel is one of those new Hermits. He's had a great time! Started building a cyberpunk and Japanese themed base, right near all of his close friends. But, when the Being comes back even smarter, and stronger, old wounds reopen, and panic builds. And Joel's biggest secret might just be what can save them all. I hope you enjoy! When Grian joined Hermitcraft, he had no idea how he'd gotten there. Or who he was (other than his name). In fact, he didn't remember anything about his past life at all. So he starts over on Hermitcraft, making new friends and starting a new life. However, as time goes by, he starts remembering more about himself, bit by bit, seeing his past life through dreams and memories.

Joel said, seemingly taking on the brunt of this debate. "We can, I dunno, steal treasure from the abandoned empires. We know where all their stuff is anyway, so hah, take that-" There was a pause. A realization shared among all three in the conversation, if you will. Not quite a lull, per se-this is something that would be marked in a script, that would be etched into history, that would seal their fates in aptly said teasing words. "Joel," began Lizzie, "Did you just come up with a near-flawless plan to become pirates?" He seemed to consider this. Looked to Jimmy, offered him a shit-eating grin. "Sorry, lad. I think you just led us right to a solution." - OR; Joel & Lizzie decide that they're best suited for a life at sea. An old friend from years past (it's only been a month or two) makes a treacherous deal with forces he doesn't understand. From their graves, ghosts of past empires arise. Trust me. - hi all! this is essentially a sequel to High Tide, another book I have in my library- this is set to be a bit more epic though, I have a notebook's worth of planning! if you've not read it, this will make very little sense. still, welcome!

This will be where I write some scenes about Vampires SMP, mostly around the Militia, aka Sausage, Ren, Martyn and Apo, since I've mostly just watches Sausage's, Ren's and Martyn's POVS. (Btw, the cover is not made by me, a friend sent a picture of it, I'm not sure who it's by)

*Cover created by me* Evil Ex-or Corex-has created a problem in Season 8. A respawn glitch-or something they've dubbed the Child's Curse. Each time a hermit dies or server hops back into Hermitcraft, they're placed between the ages of 4-8. This creates some trust problems between hermits, amplifies pain from Last Life, and takes quite the toll mentally on Xisuma as once again he has to clean up his brother's messes. Of course, there's always plus sides. Like some of the hermits having tons of fun playing as kids! And lots more chaos! At the end of the day though, it's still a problem, and some people don't know how to handle problems. *Cross-posted on Archive of Our Own*
