So, there's something I have to get off my chest about the recent Steven Universe episodes (5x17-5x24). I'm really... not pleased with the reveal and the way the following episodes handled it. I honestly feel really... "betrayed" sounds overdramatic, so let's go with "let down".

five teenagers meet over an rpg which gives you a gem that comes with weapons, powers, or both. one falls in love with another, but it doesn't seem that the feeling is mutual. in the rpg, males can join, but only as humans which either help or are protected by the gems. rose quartz seems to always flirt with everyone she meets, but it is only temporary, as thought by pearl, who is interested in a relationship with her. soon enough, rose falls hard for another, seeming to leave pearl in the dust.

The love someone since elementary school is one thing. For them to seemingly not love you back is a second. But it's a completely different thing when you're sure they love someone else.

Later, Rose's death is ruled an "accident" but Pearl knows that something is wrong, causing her to investigate further. Her life is now in pieces and she's trying to put it back together. Right now, Pearl is a work in progress.
