I don't remember the exact day we became "us." All I remember is that we started as strangers- different benches, different lives, different versions of broken. Seven girls. Completely different. Too loud, too emotional, too complicated. And somewhere between shared tiffins, random fights, jealousy, secrets, and late-night conversations... We became inseparable. Four years. One friendship. Endless memories. From school corridors filled with gossip, crushes, pressure, and laughter... to silent battles of expectations, growing up too fast, and becoming people we never thought we'd be. We weren't perfect. We fought. We misunderstood. We hurt each other. But we stayed. And sometimes... staying is the hardest part. Because not everything that feels like forever... actually stays. Now, life has taken us in different directions-different cities, different dreams. But some memories? They never really leave. This is not just a story about friendship. This is our story. The story of When We Were Almost Adults.

The novel embarks on a soul-stirring odyssey that traverses continents, hearts, and dreams. "Journey To Resilience" immerses you in the pulsating rhythm of African life, following the journey of Kenechukwu, a young man whose aspirations ignite against the backdrop of Nigeria's Owerri. But fate's sudden twist propels him on a journey to Ghana's bustling Accra, where the story unfolds. Intricately woven, this novel captures the essence of friendship and resilience. Join Kenechukwu and his companions-Chidi, the street-smart sage; Akua, the enigmatic herbalist; Amina, the laughter's bearer-as they navigate life's intricate dance. Through laughter and tears, you'll traverse the bustling Owerri markets and the vibrant streets of Accra, awakening to the vibrancy of both cultures. Yet, this tale is more than just a journey. It's a tapestry that illuminates the shadows of ambition-how dreams kindle and sometimes falter. Witness Kenechukwu's transformation as he confronts adversity, loss, and love. Navigate the streets where every step is a test, a testament to the resilience of a spirit that refuses to surrender. "Whispers of Ambition" resonates with the struggle for identity, the yearning for belonging, and the exploration of what it means to chase dreams in the face of hardship. The novel's melodies are a symphony of hope and heartache, reflecting the highs and lows of existence, like the highlife music that carries the characters' stories. With every page, you'll be transported from the laughter-filled nights under the Owerri stars to the bustling lanes of Accra's alleys. The novel is an ode to African dreams, the unity forged through shared challenges, and the strength discovered in friendships. "Whispers of Ambition" is an invitation to journey, to be enthralled by life's ebbs and flows, and to find solace in the echoes of a heart that dares to dream.

𝐆𝐈𝐔𝐋𝐈𝐀 𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐎, a young girl who's never known stability. Raised by a reckless, unstable mother, she spent her childhood caught between drug runs and police raids, ruining her right for a normal childhood. One night when her mother goes missing, Giulia's whole life changes... again. Will being under the guardianship of her new older brothers give her a chance at normalcy in her life or will they cause even more mess than before? Healing isn't easy and trust doesn't come free. ☆ ☆ ☆ As I lied there in the hospital bed with a pounding headache, practically suffocating me while barely conscious, I heard that familiar, raspy, deep, sleep deprived voice that I've recently come to find comfort in. "Nessuno oserà toccarti di nuovo senza perdere le mani, amore," they whispered. (No one will dare touch you again without losing their hands, love.) I felt two hands hold my face with a soft kiss on my forehead. Their rough and large hands a contrast to their gentleness. The comforter over me shuffled as the familiar person brought them up to my chin and tucked me in. "Riposati ora sei al sicuro, bambina," they murmured, stroking my hair. Before I knew it, simply the presence of them reassured me as I felt myself drift off again into a deep sleep. (Rest now, you're safe, baby). ☆ ☆ ☆ 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄 (noun): a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream.

Sinful things are by far the most addictive of all possible addictions- and by far one of the worst is an addiction to the occult, to the sort of magic that Zatanna has fallen victim to engaging in- for it is objectively evil in and of itself, ontologicaly-so, and completely at that.

Locker 17 serves as the in-person "twitter page" of the high school in small town Haineway High, Arizona. As the lighting rod for the student's adolescent anger, it is constantly covered by comments, insults and obscenities. The story follows Isabella (or Izzy for short), a shy girl, terrified of conflict, who gets assigned locker 17 in her second year of high school. Being Haineway High's scapegoat leads to a year fraught with difficulties and anxieties and it doesn't help that her best friend Oliver is too busy worrying over a boy from the city "ghosting" him to lend her any sympathy. Luckily, she befriends Theresa Perez, a very popular girl who she unexpectedly gets along with, despite her infamous reputation around school (mostly propagated by locker 17). The contrast between what is written and the girl she gets to know surprises her and it's not until an incident at a party focuses the school's attention on her that she understands how harmful and misleading anonymous hatred can truly be. Throughout the year she's met with kindness, anger and surprising revelations about those closest to her. She learns that what's on the surface is never a true representation.

As a teenager, the pressure is on to fit in. It doesn't matter who you are underneath the mask of Feigned Perfection, nobody cares. You have no real friends, and you don't need them. All you have to do is be perfect in everyone's eyes, including your own. Get the best grades, suck up to your parents, play the part you're assigned in the "It" clique. Run the school and your life as a respectable role model for others. Even if it's not who you really are on the inside. That's what Summer Chandler's view on life is, at least. Astral Day on the other hand view's appeasing to others as a waste of time. If you only have a short time to live, why not live to the fullest you possibly can? Why bother yourself with what people think when they have no real control over you or your life? In his opinion, you shouldn't listen to anyone else other than yourself unless that person genuinely matters to you. In his case, his aunt Zora.
